Who told you that you CAN do it?
Who said you ARE smart, funny, capable, brilliant, you are going places?
I bet you know exactly who said it. You’re fortunate. A few of you may be thinking “no one ever told me that stuff” and that is a shame.
Having someone pour into you and build belief in yourself is a gift. Building belief in others is also a gift and it is the gift that keeps on giving.
This message is for you if you are a parent, a boss, leader of a team, a friend, or just about anybody. Helping others believe in themselves is not only going to serve them but it is also going to enhance your relationships, build your team faster, and generally get the results you are looking for quicker.

Belief or lack of belief in yourself can make or break your success. It just does. How do we as Work From Home Women succeed when there are so many people and circumstances just waiting to knock us off our game? Perhaps we started out with our belief a little shaken. Maybe we have failed at something before or not followed through with something and we have secretly labelled ourselves a failure or a quitter.
From my experience with my own growth in business and from spending time with many self made millionaires, belief trumps skill, belief trumps knowledge and it even trumps grit.
Believing in ourselves being able to accomplish a goal takes more than just saying “I can do it” ( and then secretly, on the inside, thinking..who am I?” )
In this episode, the first of the series on belief, I share 5 ways to build your belief, they are simple and are quite doable. I recorded this while on vacation at one of my favourite places. I always believed I would end up here, but it took many years of growing my believe in myself to actually have the guts to make it happen.

How do we stay excited to keep going with our at home business when we are accountable only to ourselves?
After nearly 7 years of building an at home business, I have learned a thing or 2 from my own experience and also from watching listening and learning to my community of others doing the same.
I know for sure that we need to keep the fire going to decide to act every day and move ahead.

You know what I’m talking about, all of a sudden it’s 3pm and you feel like you have nothing to show for the day? Perhaps the kids are on their way home from school in the next hour and panic washes over you? Perhaps even guilt? It’s not your fault! You just didn’t know about having systems to move you ahead hour by hour or day by day!
I know what this is all about, I have worked from home going on 7 years, although I worked out of the house for 3 1/2 of those years as well…I needed to have systems or I would not have been able to create success in the 1-2 hours a day I had. When I was able to leave my career and come home full time, it was actually even more challenging to stay on task! Can you relate?

Why Work From Home? What’s in it for me?
It sounds appealing.
It sounds like a good idea.
Where to begin? Is it even something I can do?
All of these questions swirl around as us Ladies think about our kids, our homes, our current career and our dreams. We have so many pressures, so many decisions and so many people pulling us in every direction. Sometimes, it is hard to even know where to begin or if we SHOULD begin.
Many years ago, I wish I had a fast track to make my decision and to take a leap with more confidence.

Here is a thought, we can have what we want.
So, how the heck do we get IT? It starts with a decision. A decision that what we want is within reach if we just decide to do the work. I’ve always been a hard worker, and I am also distracted easily! You see how that can be a problem?
Doing the work starts with mindset. Questions to ask ourselves, what are the obstacles that have stood in my way in the past? Were they REALLY obstacles or was I just allowing a mere shoe I tripped over show up as a mountain? Have I given it a fair try to conquer?
Where do I start?
How about making a list of all the things that MIGHT help to move through that obstacle? If it is health related, diet or exercise will be of great help. What is stopping you from having a healthy meal 3 times a day?
Every single one of these are easily handled, just think about it. Spend a few minutes finding a solution and then implement. It isn’t IMPOSSIBLE, it just takes some work.
Decide, work it and succeed. Easier said than done, I know. It is possible.
Guard your thoughts.
Well meaning people will try to talk you out of your dreams. What lights you up may not be important to them.
They don’t “get it”
Guard your dreams, goals and thoughts or chasing success in it will be exhausting.
Typically, advice is given when it wasn’t asked for. Often, it’s hard not to at least consider what is being said. Is it valuable? Mostly not.
If I asked my best friend ( who I know is always looking out for my best interests) and someone at my job that I have had coffee with every day for 5 years, for the same advice, they would be very different. Why would I even ask my co-worker?
Here is the thing, many of us seek approval. We want to hear the answer we are seeking, and what we end up with is a mess of assumptions. I assume they get it, they assume I get it.
How about letting all of the judgement go.
How about spending time with others that will lift you up, ONLY.
Around this time of year, some people get irritated easily, a little overwhelmed (ok, a lot overwhelmed). I used to be one of them.
There was a time when I would stress over the perfect gifts, the best food, the most elegant decor, and outfit. Then, it hit me…no one cares. They really don’t! If anyone does care, they are being judgemental so it doesn’t count.
Changing my mindset to chill out, let it all fall into place and take the pressure off of me and everyone around me was a blessing. I noticed that my inner circle started following suit; less fuss, less stress, and more enjoyment.
Christmas can be the most beautiful tine of the year. We just have to let it. ❤
Switching gears a little today to talk about having a strong immune system because guess what, if you are not well, you may not exercise, or stay on track with anything.
If you are out at the mall, socializing virus’ are naturally floating around this time of year…
Here is a list of IMMUNE BOOSTING FOODS – see how many you incorporate in your diet regularly!
Citrus Fruits – we all know, vitamin C
Red Bell Peppers – lost double the vitamin C of citrus fruits!
Broccoli – antioxidant
Garlic – yes its true 🙂
Spinach – we knew this one too
Yoghurt – choose live and active cultures
Almonds – powerful little snack that I always recommend ( 8 at ta snack)
Tumeric – it is so powerful!
Green Tea – yes, we all knew that one too
Papaya – lots of vitamins including C
I also recommend a product I use daily in the winter called Isamune Plus – Zinc, Echinacea, Reishi mushroom and colostrum ! A few squirts a day !
